Mary Sue Copeland

Painting and sketching have taught me to see what has been there all along but I just didn't see it.  It is so exciting to see the different colors, shapes and textures in God's creation.  Alcohol ink and watercolor are both such fun mediums used to express what I see; they bring spontaneity and inspire.

Rick Forsyth

As a landscape architect I draw inspiration for my watercolors from the basic features and qualities of the landscape:  the sky, land, native plants, wind, and, most importantly, the quality of light.  Since I began painting I have been interested in the powerful yet simple relationship between the indigenous vernacular architecture of a given locale and the landscape surrounding it.
